           At the outset I wish to Congratulate all the stakeholders for yet another successful year of ALIMCO. It is indeed a pleasure to share the milestones of fourth year of my tenure as Chairman & Managing Director of Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India that has been a quite satisfying in terms of overall development and growth of the Corporation.

                During the Financial Year 17-18 your Corporation achieved a Turnover of Rs. 228.50 crores and the surplus recorded Rs. 50.79 crores. Similarly, the Net Worth of your Corporation increased to Rs. 281.33 crores.

                ALIMCO has been making efforts to explore business other than grant-in-aid from Govt. of India and such Sales is the result of continuous efforts by the Corporation to tap CSR initiating of other PSUs and business through strengthening the dealer network. In comparison to Non ADIP business of Rs. 66.24 crores in 2016.17, the Corporation has registered a growth of Rs. 28.36 Crores and achieves a business of Rs. 94.60 crores.

                The process of Modernization of the corporation in respect of up-gradation of products, process, technology and infrastructure has been approved by the Ministry with total estimated cost of Rs. 338.04 crores. Nearly 27% of the funds have been utilized. “High-end Prosthetics” Workshop got established, modern machines have been commissioned and production of high end prosthetics has also been commenced. New AAPC at Ujjain is fully operationalized in less than one year. Moreover, old Canteen has been remodeled and converted into “State of Art facility”. Construction of boundary wall, work of Shed 1 & 2 at HQ, Kanpur for warehouse and renovation of Regional marketing center in Delhi have also been completed. Further, renovation & expansion work of State-of-Art Prosthetic & Orthotic Centre, construction of R&D Building and Residential Quarters for employees are expected to be functional by January, 2019.

                I wish to place on record my thanks to the entire group of stake holders and deep sense of appreciation for the sincere efforts put in by our employees at all levels. I would also like to thank my colleagues on the board who spared considerable time and participated actively in the deliberations of the Board with their in-depth knowledge and guidance on various issues which greatly contributed in taking appropriate decisions. I gratefully acknowledge the guidance and support extended by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) for continued growth and expansion of your Company. I am sure that this support and trust, ALIMCO will achieve many more milestones and newer heights ahead in future.
